Wildwood Crest Travel Guide
Welcome to Wildwood Crest, NJ!
While the entire Wildwoods' Five Mile Island is a seasonal playground for visitors, the borough of Wildwood Crest, located at the south end of the island, is a little more easygoing than its northern neighbors of Wildwood and North Wildwood. The beaches around Wildwood Crest are wide, clean and free and have lifeguards during June, July and August. Accommodations and activities are both plentiful and family-oriented and the absence of bars and liquor stores on this section of the island reinforce Wildwood Crest's family atmosphere. Seasonal events such as Music by the Ocean and the Summer Concert Series are scheduled regularly at the pier and the public gazebo. Sunset Lake, to the west, provides an arena for water sports and Crest Harbor is a popular place for fishing. For a historical tour, the Wildwood Crest Historical Museum contains artifacts, documents and photographs and the Lake and Turtle Gut Park and Memorial shows remnants of the American Revolution battle fought in Cape May County.
